Steve Crawford & Spider Mackenzie are an extraordinary duo with an enormous musical range. These two musicians, from Aberdeen in Scotland, know how to create a potent atmosphere with only an acoustic guitar, a voice and a harmonica. Steve writes songs of wonderful clarity and poetic density while Spider is undoubtedly one of the best harmonica players in the UK. Together they serve-up an enticing mix which combines folk, alt-country and jazz influences, updating the tradition of guitar/harp combo’s to take the genre into the new millennium.

Since releasing their debut album ‘5am’ in 2008 they have consistently delivered great performances in their homeland of Scotland and through several successful tours of Germany – the home of the harmonica.

The duo have a played a diversity of festivals such as the Buttons, Boxes and Moothies festival in Aberdeen, the Sommersound festival in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and to an audience of several thousand at the Live on the Lawn festival at Crathes Castle.

Plans for 2012 include gigs in the UK, a trip back to the Continent and recording of their second album due to begin late in the year.
